Great Pyramid of Giza Fast Facts

I am pretty sure I learned about the pyramids when I was in 6th grade.  It was cool to discover what the Halloween Costume, Mummies, were all about.  You know how a bunch of Slaves built these huge Tombs a really long time ago??  Well, I think it’s time to revisit some information about the Great Pyramid as we know in 2021!

  • It is an eight-sided figure, not a four-sided figure. Each of the pyramid’s four side are evenly split from base to tip by very subtle concave indentations.
  • 2.5 million blocks of stone were used ; weighing between 2 – 20 tons.
  • It’s situated along the four cardinal points: North, South, East and West to 0.067 degrees!
  • The ratio of its circumference to its original height is equal to the value of pi: 3.14.
  • It’s right in the ‘geographical,’ center of the Earth. If you drew lines out from the 4 corners it covers the most land mathematically possible!
  • The Great Pyramid’s base is at I:43,200 which is a mathematical representation of the northern hemisphere.
